The Indian Government has announced that the much touted $35 tablet will be supplied to IIT Rajasthan by the end of June. This will be followed by 90,000 more Sakshats being churned off the assembly line over a span of the next four months.
The govt has put a price tag of Rs 2,200 on the low-cost device. If this price wasn’t unbelievable enough, students can purchase the tablet at a mere Rs 1,100, which is even lower than the projected $35 mark. That’s good value for money, considering the relatively ample storage space on offer and its ability to handle multimedia content with aplomb, as seen in the video below:
Here are some of its features that have been revealed at this juncture:
- 7″ touchscreen
- 2 GB RAM
- 32GB HD
- 2 USB ports
- Open source OS
- Video-conferencing facility
- Multimedia capability
- Wi-Fi connectivity
So if you are looking for tablet then, just wait a bit and buy Sakshat which is gonna be the world’s cheapest tablet.
